WA Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program
FIA WA is pleased to announce that applications are open for the inaugural Emerging Leaders Scholarship for an outstanding early-career fundraiser in Western Australia. The scholarship is designed to provide educational opportunities to early career (less than 5 years in the industry) fundraisers to grow their knowledge and level of fundraising practice; provide encouragement to them to pursue a career in the field; and deliver benefits to their non-profit organisation and through them to the wider community.
The Scholarship will allow the recipient to attend FIA’s national conference in 2020. The Scholarship will cover the cost of:
• Attending the three-day FIA Fundraising Conference in Brisbane
• One ticket to the gala dinner/awards night
• Three nights’ accommodation at an FIA-endorsed hotel
Applications are open until 22 November and the winner will be announced in December 2019.

Community Fundraising Event and Digital Showcase
FIA WA is presenting a showcase of community fundraising event and digital learning delivered by six talented event managers and coordinators in WA. They will share their top tips, pitfalls, learnings, successes and stories about their charity’s event in a dynamic session.

CFRE Study Group
Let us help you achieve your credential!
FIA offers a monthly study group, free of charge, for CFRE candidates. The study group covers:
- assistance completing and submitting your CFRE application.
- insights into taking the CFRE exam.
- advice on resources to study for the CFRE exam.
- focused study sessions, in a ‘book club’ format.
Almost 100 per cent of participants in the CFRE Study Group have passed the CFRE exam on their first attempt.
The study group is co-chaired by Pamela Sutton-Legaud MFIA CFRE and Elizabeth Davis EMFIA CFRE.
