What does it mean to you to be the 2020 Young Fundraiser of the Year?
“I feel very grateful – to be recognized for my work and to those who have helped me get this far. I hope to pay it forward and help other young fundraisers where I can.”
How has winning this award impacted on your fundraising career, or how do you think it will in the future?
“The award has significantly raised my visibility within the industry – its helped me connect with people beyond my immediate network, which will hopefully help me become an even more effective fundraiser.”
Would you encourage people to nominate someone for an award? Why?
“Yes, I would. Its important that we continue to professionalize our industry and this is another way to celebrate excellence in Australian fundraising.”
