2020 Joint Winner Fundraising Impact Through Creativity: MS Queensland

What did winning this award mean for you / your organisation?

“Winning this award was great recognition for the team’s and organisation’s commitment and approach to innovation.  Fundraisers have a knack for avoiding the spotlight, but this award was deserved acknowledgement for their professionalism and creativity.”

How has it impacted on your work in terms of campaign strategies, staff morale etc?

“The award really gave the team and organization a good boost.  From Board, CEO and all areas of the business, there was a collective appreciation for the team’s hard work and a celebration to have been recognized at this level and amongst other great entries.”

What advice or suggestions can you give to other members considering submitting an awards nomination? Why should they enter?

“I definitely recommend taking some time out of your busy days to submit an awards nomination.  It’s a great chance to reflect on the amazing achievements you’ve been part of over the past year.  A chance to put your team in the spotlight for a change, when as fundraisers we work so hard to put donors and beneficiaries in it instead.  Regardless of winning the award, we found the process to be a good team building one, and a chance to pause and celebrate what we’ve helped create, before charging on again to do more.”
