About

The opportunity to participate in FIA’s National Mentoring Program is a major benefit offered to all FIA members. It is designed for both mentors and mentees, so whether you want to contribute to the sector, or you want to grow your knowledge and skills, the FIA National Mentoring Program can help you.

During the program, we ask that mentors and mentees meet for a minimum of four 90-minute sessions which can be either face-to-face or online. Each partnership is unique and can be customised to suit the busy schedules and communication styles of each pairing. FIA will provide some resources to help with the partnership and also tips along the way to support both the mentor and mentee as they work on their professional goals together. The terms and conditions for participating in the program can be found here.

Expand your network

Connect with someone outside your usual working network and gain access to new ways of thinking and working.  Both mentees and mentors benefit from exchanging ideas and exploring different approaches to problems and the changing fundraising environment.

Professional Development

Tailor the program to help with professional goals specific to you and the current stage of your fundraising career. From event planning to transitioning to management, the FIA National Mentoring Program offers the opportunity to grow within the sector.

Give back to the Sector

Gain personal satisfaction and give back to a sector full of passionate individuals. Mentoring can be an enriching experience that contributes to the future of the fundraising profession.
