Copywriting for Impact

Snapshot of course details. Location is nationally online and face-to-face in NSW. The mode is tutor-led online for face-to-face. The duration is a full day. The level is intermediate. The dates are in May, June, August and November.

Course Overview

In this course you will learn how to write with clarity and emotion for the benefit of your readers and your mission. You will learn the real-world practicalities of writing copy to a deadline, for a specific audience and with the needs and complexities of your organisation in mind. The primary focus will be on direct response communication for appeals and activism campaigns. You will participate in a combination of case study demonstrations, practical exercises and peer contribution.

Who is this course for?

  • Fundraisers and charity staff who write copy and contributes to messaging for fundraising, campaigning, or other supporter communications.
  • Fundraisers, charity staff, or suppliers to the NFP sector who would like to be more confident when briefing or assessing copy provided by other writers.
A table of course prices. The face-to-face format is $520 for members and $695 for non-members. The tutor-led online format is $490 for members and $590 for non-members.

  • FIA Code 4 Conduct towards Donors by examining how communicators in the NFP sector can find themselves challenged to meet their ethical obligations to donors, and the needs of their employers.
  • FIA Code 5 Conduct towards Beneficiaries by considering scenarios where this conduct may be challenged, and support attendees to navigate any challenges in ethical and appropriate ways.

Full participation in Copywriting for Impact is applicable for up to 7.5 continuing education points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
