Navigating the Fundraising Regulatory Environment

Snapshot of course details. The location is open nationally online or face-to-face in NSW and Victoria. The mode is tutor-led online or face-to-face. The duration is two half days or one full day. The course level is intermediate and the dates are in May, July and October.

Course Overview

The aim of this course is to enable fundraisers to understand the regulatory environment in which they operate and to meet all regulatory requirements at a state and federal level that are relevant to their organisation’s fundraising activities. You will learn to differentiate between legal and ethical responsibilities to build best-practice fundraising programs and activities. This course also provides guidelines for developing an effective compliance program for your charity.

Table of three course dates. The first course in Sydney 21 May 2021, 9am-5pm AEST. The second course is online 29 July 2021, 9am-5pm AEST. The third course is in Melbourne 27 October 2021, 9am-5pm.
A table of course prices. The face-to-face format is $520 for members and $695 for non-members. The online tutor-led format is $490 for members and $590 for non-members.

Full participation in Navigating the Fundraising Regulatory Environment is applicable for up to 7.5 continuing education points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

Francesca has been a member of FIA for over 20 years and has held senior executive roles in a number of not-for-profit organisations including Heart Foundation, Save the Children and Spine Care Foundation. She has been a very active member of the NSW Executive Committee over the last few years, holding various portfolios such as Awards, CFRE and Fellows. Frances has been a mentor for new fundraisers since 2014 and was an adjunct lecturer and tutor in the Master of Management Program at the University of Technology, Sydney for four years.
