FIA Code Review 2020

FIA is committed to advancing ethical, best-practice fundraising standards through a self-regulatory framework. At the centre of this framework is the FIA Code informed by the International Statement of Ethical Principles in Fundraising.

The FIA Code guides the sector through:

• Expected standards of behaviour

• Mechanisms for monitoring fundraising sector activities for compliance

• Complaint handling mechanisms

• Training and education

The FIA Code Authority have requested at its May 2020 meeting that FIA undertake a review of the FIA Code to ensure it remains up to date and fit for purpose in advancing professional standards of fundraising in Australia.

FIA are asking all members and stakeholders for their views on the FIA Code, the practice notes and the mechanisms of the Code Authority.

The primary purpose of the review, requested by the FIA Code Authority in its May 2020 meeting, is to ensure that the Code continues to reflect community, fundraising sector and self-regulatory standards and values.

FIA are asking all members and stakeholders for their views on the FIA Code, the practice notes and the mechanisms of the Code Authority.
