Last week, I spent a few days in Hobart meeting members and attending the FIA Tasmania Fundraising Forum. The Tasmanian state committee put on a fantastic event comprising a gifts in Wills masterclass and a one-day conference on fundraising topics, both broad and deep. More than 50 people attended the forum, and it was a delight to spend the day with the attendees and the incredibly talented presenters who gave their time so generously to FIA and the sector. The feedback on the day was overwhelmingly positive.
It reminds me again of the vital role of FIA’s state committees—all committed volunteers—who work to engage professional fundraisers in their local communities and provide professional development and the sharing of skills and knowledge on behalf of FIA and the entire sector. It makes me so proud to be part of this incredible sector.
Remember to check our local state event listings on the FIA website so you can take advantage of the great work of all our committees across the county and continue to advance your professional fundraising.
