Rikki Stewart MFIA

Finalist of

Young Fundraiser of the Year 2019

With over seven years of fundraising/volunteer management experience, Rikki Stewart brings a diverse set of skills to her work. Her passion for non-profits began in her teens when she volunteered at her local charity op-shop. In university, Rikki co-founded/operated Sew Blue, an all-volunteer fashion collective dedicated to reducing the stigma associated with depression/mental illness. At the same time, she established an event styling business, completed an MBA and volunteered for other projects.

For the past two years, Rikki was WA’s sole fundraising/volunteer coordinator for Red Nose. She executed three successful Red Nose Day campaigns; managed two mass-participation events; led a fundraising abseil team down the QV1 building; coordinated local fundraising events/marketing opportunities; built a volunteer database and created new volunteer streams. She was nominated for a WA Excellence in Volunteer Management Award in 2017.
Armed with her extensive entrepreneurial background, passion for professional development and dreams of making a difference, Rikki is a valuable contributor to FIA’s WA state committee.

Now working as a consultant at United Way WA, Rikki is creating a new fundraising and marketing strategy incorporating the creation of new income streams; donor stewardship and engagement; event creation/management; peer to peer and online fundraising, and communications, social media and branding strategies.
