Alan White MFIA CFRE

Winner of

National Young Fundraiser of the Year 2019

For eight years, Alan White has immersed himself in fundraising program implementation, staff management and professional development, generating stellar results to support organisational mission and beneficiaries.

Beginning his fundraising career as Bond University’s volunteer philanthropy manager (soon remunerated), Alan created a robust philanthropic culture among students, alumni and the community. His strategic bursary programs and community fundraisers raised nearly $250,000.

At Oxfam, Alan led a successful multi-channel communications strategy to support donor journeys. He developed strong acquisition skills and grew his programs 21% to more than $1.1 million. He increased new supporter acquisition by more than 12% and helped launch the first-ever Oxfam Trailwalker.
As fundraising manager for Mater Hospital Foundation, Alan oversaw events including River to Rooftop and Climb for Cancer, a new digital/virtual campaign, where he developed phone apps allowing participants to participate in stair climbs anywhere to raise funds. The first-year pilot attracted 700+ registrations, boosting income.

Alan is currently revamping underperforming programs at Asylum Seeker Resource Center. His exceptional results include growing cash appeal income from $1.85 million to $3.42 million; building regular giving by 30% and lifting the events portfolio past $1 million (budget: $600,000).

A proud fundraiser, Alan is optimistic, innovative and data/evidence-based in his decision making.
